1DS - Agricultral Exemption Processing

This in-depth class will discuss and review the nuances of effectively administering the Agricultural Land assessment (exemption) program. It will cover the differences between land located in an Agricultural District and Committed land outside an Agricultural District.

We will review the required initial documentation in order to determine eligibility, as well as the calculations to arrive at an exemption amount, both manually and within RPSV4.

We will also discuss the yearly renewal process and penalties for conversions with the appropriate calculations.

Continuing Education Hours / Re-Certification Credits

The Institute of Assessing Officers will award six (6) re-certification credits to all Institute members who attend this seminar. Eligible assessors and county directors who attend will receive education credit and reimbursement from ORPTS, pursuant to their rules.
