1DS - Creating a Valuation Factor File (VFF)

This seminar will introduce the RPS user to the basics of the Valuation Factor File (VFF). The VFF is a fundamental part of the RPS valuation modules used to value commercial properties fairly and consistently. We will start off by looking at how to read a VFF print out and then “pull back the curtain” to show how the data sheet was produced. We will explore various sources for economic data mining and how to key this information into the VFF. And finally, this seminar will also explore some common “pit falls” that cause the VFF to fail.   

Continuing Education Hours / Re-Certification Credits

The Institute of Assessing Officers will award six (6) re-certification credits to all Institute members who attend this seminar. Eligible assessors and county directors who attend will receive education credit and reimbursement from ORPTS, pursuant to their rules.
