Ethics and the Assessor is designed to provide students with an understanding of the key ethical elements faced by local assessment officials. The course includes discussion about ethical workplace issues, municipal ethics law, values, ethical conduct guidelines, conflicts of interest, ethical dilemmas, statement of disclosure, freedom of information law, open meetings law and public service issues.
Continuing Education Hours / Re-Certification Credits
The Institute of Assessing Officers will award six (6) re-certification credits to all Institute members who attend this seminar. Eligible assessors and county directors who attend will receive education credit and reimbursement from ORPTS, pursuant to their rules.

This is an in-person class, not a Hybrid Zoom class. You must be able to go to the Town of Thompson town hall to attend. Parking is available at the Home Depot and in the lot near the Dunkin Donuts.
