Instructor: Stephen Harris, CCD
The class will cover the Assessor’s duties, responsibilities, and preparation for Grievance Day. We will discuss how Grievance Day will be different in a non – reassessment year vs a reassessment year vs an annual reassessment. The class will also include the NYS-prescribed training for Board of Assessment Review members. We will cover the requirements of the BAR and the responsibilities of the Board of Assessment Review, the Assessor, and the Property Owner.
Continuing Education Hours / Re-Certification Credits
Eligible assessors and county directors who attend will receive education credit and reimbursement from ORPTS, pursuant to their rules.
