Brief job description:
Assessor Trainee Undergoes on-the-job training and formal classroom education, directed towards becoming the town Assessor. Employee assists in carrying out the mission of the Assessor's office, under direct supervision of the Assessor, and participates in classes approved by the State Board of Equalization and Assessment. Does related work, as required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Assist in: Preparing an annual assessment roll of real property as required by law; Collecting and recording of data relating to the value of properties; Maintaining detailed records on all parcels including owners' names, property description and values; Utilizes procedures required in gathering and processing data for various reports in reviewing documents for relevant information and in correcting official records; Provides information concerning property to the general public.
