Instructor: Michael J. Fouassier, DPA, IAO

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming a powerful support tool for property assessors—but understanding how to use it appropriately, ethically, and defensibly is essential.

This full-day seminar provides assessors with a practical, real-world introduction to AI, focusing on how it can support data management, appraisal development, appraisal review, and equity analysis, while maintaining full compliance with USPAP/IAAO, confidentiality requirements, and public accountability standards.

Participants will learn how AI can be used to streamline workflows traditionally handled in Excel, assist with producing and reviewing appraisal materials, and support sales ratio studies and equity analysis—all while reinforcing that valuation judgment remains the responsibility of the assessor.

The course combines instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, giving attendees practical tools they can apply immediately in their offices.

Continuing Education Hours / Re-Certification Credits

Eligible assessors and county directors who attend will receive education credit and reimbursement from ORPTS, pursuant to their rules.
